Throughout the school year, the pupils, with the support of their teachers, have been immersing themselves in local history, its main events and its heritage buildings. On this day, they will be sharing their work with their parents, the local community and anyone else who is interested.

The students will guide visitors through six emblematic sites in Chalais, each representing a chapter in the village's history. Through skits, photo exhibitions and various other forms of artistic expression, they will explain significant themes in local history.

Maison Bourgeoisiale
"Its discoveries and little secrets

Rue de la Laiterie
"The fire of 1892 and its consequences".
Schedule: 2pm; 2.30pm; 3pm; 3.30pm; 4.30pm.

Rue du Fuidjou
"Life in Chalais during the Second World War".
Schedule: 2.30pm; 3.30pm; 4.30pm.

Rue du Téléphérique
"History of the cable car and the transhumance between the plains and mountains".

Bozon Tower
"Its history told, sung and danced".
Schedule: 3pm; 4pm; 5pm.

Le Kabaret Theatre
Schedule: from 2 p.m., looped film of testimonies from the elderly about life in Chalais during the 2nd World War (15 min.)

Place du Kabaret
Schedule: At 5:30 p.m., final song by all the pupils, a word from the president of the municipality and a closing aperitif for Heritage Day.
The day will end at 5.30pm on the Place du Kabaret. After a final song performed by all the students, the President of the municipality will make a speech and an aperitif will bring the festivities to a close.
