The hike begins at the foot of the Mayens ski slope, after the gondola along the Bisse de Vex towards Planchouet. You leave the footpath when you reach the tarmac mountain road and follow it towards Verrey. Don't miss this charming little hamlet with its centuries-old wooden buildings, darkened by the generous mountain sun.
Then continue along the road through the Mayens de Veysonnaz to the Remointze restaurant. There is an outstanding view of the Bernese Alps along the way.
A large part of the walk is along the road, which is well cleared of snow and has very little traffic. The hike through the Mayens de Veysonnaz is a real treasure for those who enjoy winter walks without snowshoes or studs.
The return route is the same as the outward one.
