Snowshoe hike Veysonnaz - ThyonDepuis Veysonnaz Tourisme, longer d'abord la route en direction des Mayens de l’Ours. Au bout du parking, un chemin pédestre pénètre dans la forêt, jusqu'au nouveau quartier des Hauts de Veysonnaz. A cet endroit, l'itinéraire revient sur la route du Magrappé jusqu'au restaurant des Caboulis.
L'ascension continue ensuite sur un sentier pédestre jusqu'à la prochaine intersection entre les deux itinéraires raquette : Magrappé qui est à son point culminant ou Forêt de l'Ours - Thyon qui continue sa montée en s'enfonçant de plus en plus dans la forêt jusqu'à la Piste de l'Ours.
La marche est très agréable sur une route forestière pas trop pentue. Il n'est pas nécessaire de traverser la piste de l'Ours pour rejoindre la route qui chemine quelques mètres plus haut et revient vers les Mayens de Veysonnaz.
A la prochaine intersection, un chemin sert de liaison entre l'itinéraire Forêt de l'Ours et celui de la Zeu qui continue sa montée vers Thyon en retournant en direction de la piste de l'Ours.
Le parcours devient plus sauvage et pentu à travers la forêt. Profitez de ces instants d’harmonie avec la nature loin des activités humaines. Plus loin, la traversée de la mythique piste de l'Ours vous rappelle que l'Homme n'est pas si éloigné, avant de replonger dans la forêt. Les activités humaines sont ici plus présentes, mais bien intégrées dans l'écosystème. L'itinéraire croise en effet par deux fois la route de Thyon 2000 ainsi que la conduite forcée. A l'orée du bois, la Dent Blanche et le Cervin s'offre à votre vue éblouie. Quelle belle récompense !

Spring in Veysonnaz: a quieter season for tourists, between the melting snow and the awakening of the surrounding nature. The beginning of summer is launched at the end of June when the cattle return to the mountain pastures and school closes for the summer holidays.

Thyon is the ideal starting point, both in winter for skiing and in summer and autumn for magnificent mountain walks.
At the arrival of the gondolas, public toilets are available if the facilities are open. The restaurant Le Mont-Rouge as well as the restaurant La Combyre offer a warm and friendly setting for your mountain outings. Just below, the popular bar Le Tipi brings the Thyon plateau to life.
Last but not least, all the facilities needed for a pleasant stay in the mountains can be found in the buildings of the Thyon 2000 complex, to the east of the plateau: restaurants, swimming pool, sports shop, estate agency, doctor, etc...
