Medieval-inspired garden

Local & regional heritage

This unique garden, which can be visited in July and August, is located in the hamlet of Briey.
You can discover the plants and their virtues and take a look at the laboratory, where the plants are stored.

Until the middle of the last century, the cultivation and gathering of wild plants for culinary or medicinal purposes were common practice in the Valais. After having been somewhat neglected, the plants and their many virtues are now attracting renewed interest.
Around a well, the garden shelters about fifty medicinal plants whose uses you can discover in the Middle Ages and today.
